The objective of this study is to determine the chemical composition and to evaluate the antfungal activity of essential oils from the aerial part of the plant Ferula Tingitana. The extraction of essential oils was carried out by hydrodistillation. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the essential oil showed a variety of chemical compounds forming the essence of oil, this study identified 22 constituents, representing 97.81% of the essential oil. The main compounds are: Dill ether (25.16%), D-limonene (20.19%), D-Carvone (18.83%), α-phellandrene (16.83%) and O-cymene (5.51%). The res
In order to evaluate the influence of water on the quality of irrigated soils, 16 parcels in the irrigated perimeter downstream of the Mellah and Seybouse wad is confluence have been followed throughout the flood and dry period (year 2020). Tenphysicochemical parameters were measured (T°, pH, EC, DO, BOD5, COD, PO4-, NH4+, NO2-, NO3-) and bacteriological (TG, TC and FC). The findings of surface water analyses show conductivity and SAR of the order of: (i) (EC=1.138 ds/m and SAR= 4.30) for the Seybouse wadi, (ii) (EC= 1.935 dS/m and SAR= 9.35)for the Mellah wadi. For surface water, the chemica
Whole grain of wheat consumption is associated with several health benefits, in contrast to the consumption of refined grains. The present study was to investigate the phenolic content and the antioxidant properties of whole grain of wheat, compared to bran and flour fractions before and after simulated gastrointestinal digestion. Contents of phenolic and flavonoids were determined as such (untreated) and under simulated gastrointestinal (treated). Also, to evaluate the antioxidant activity, four different assays, DPPH, ABTS, inhibition of β-carotene bleaching, ferric reducing antioxidant pow
The experiment was carried out at greenhouse of Biopole of the University of Mentouri Brothers Constantine 1, during the 2019/2021 crop year. The main objective of this research is based on the study to analyze diversity of 2 Triticum species composed of three genotypes of Triticum durum Desf. (Waha, GTAdur and Capeti) and three genotypes of Triticum aestivum L. (Weebilli, Florence auroreand TSI/VEE…) before initiating the variability creation procedures to identify the potential of plant material before considering the necessary genetic manipulation. The results of descriptive sheets accord
Our study aims to contribute, in a systematic way, to the development of new genetic diversity by targeting the characteristics of the parents, and the characteristics that can raise the productivity of the resulting offspring. Four genotypes of soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were used as TSI/VEE parents, WeebilliMexipak, and Florence-aurore, to obtain six crosses using the method of crossing half allele. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse at the Bio-pole Research Center. It is affiliated to the Laboratory for the Development and Valorization of Plant Genetic Resources, Universi
