Ground Beetles (Coleoptera) Communities Living in the Aleppo pine (Pinus halipensis) and Atlas cedar forests (Cedrus atlantica) of the Chrea National Park (Blida, Algeria)

In 2018, Carabids communities were investigated in an Aleppo pine area and Atlas cedar forests habitats of the Chrea National Park (Blida, Algeria), according to an altitudinal gradient of biodiversity. Carabids communities were collected monthly for one year using pitfall traps. In total, 208 individuals of ground beetles representing 18 species essentially carnivorous predators and valuable auxiliaries were captured. The harvested species belong to three groups and is divided between five families, whose Pterostichidae count nine species. The Aleppo pine site was the most diversified site wi

The biodiversity of aquatic birds in the North-East of Algeria

The Setif region boasts abundant wetlands, which serve as vital ecosystems harboring a significant and diverse avian biodiversity. This ecological richness holds both economic and ecological significance. Within the scope of our research, we undertook the task of conducting an extensive survey of aquatic bird populations and conducted an in-depth analysis of the avian fauna inhabiting the wetlands within the Setif area. This endeavor allowed us to compile a comprehensive inventory encompassing species observed during the period from 2019 to 2020. Our findings revealed the presence of an impres

FREQUENCY AND MECHANISM OF ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT INJURY AMONG FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF PESHAWAR: A CROSS SECTIONAL STUDY

Injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in professional athletes can result in lengthy absences from sports and perhaps endanger their careers. Contact and noncontact are the two primary mechanisms of ACL damage. Noncontact mechanisms are responsible for 60–70% of ACL injuries. The neuromuscular and bio mechanical variables that play a role in this process will be explored in more detail later in the section on injury prevention. To determine mechanism of anterior cruciate ligament injury among football players of Peshawar. A cross sectional study was used to conduct data in Peshawa

Evaluation of Epidemiological and Anatomopathological Profile of Breast Cancer in Young Women in Sétif City, Algeria

Breast cancer is a real public health problem because of the lack of early diagnosis and treatment, which is often delayed. In terms of incidence, breast cancer remains the most common cancer in women. The aim of this study is to evaluate the epidemiological profile and identify the anatomopathological features of breast cancer in young women aged 40 and under in the north-eastern region of Algeria (Sétif). Our work is based on a retrospective study of 40 cases admitted in the Setif medical oncology department during a period from January 2021 to March 2023. Epidemiological data show that the

Dung beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea): Diversity and Phenology in The Agricultural Plain of Oued Endja –Mila- Algeria.

A study of the structure of the coprophagous beetle population was carried out between December 2018 and December 2019. In the region of Oued Enja wilaya de Mila. Sampling was carried through using CSR type traps. The harvest allowed us to capture nearly 5116 individuals belonging to 25 species, organized into 3 guilds (residents, burrowers and rollers). The family of Scarabaiedae which includes both rolling insects, tribe Gymnopleurini represented by 2 species and burrowing insects, tribe (Onthophagini, Coprini and Onitini) represented in our study by 13 species, the family Geotrupidae, repre

Surface Water Characterization Of Guebli River, Tamalous Plain (North East Algeria)

Water resources are developed either to use or to control groundwater and surface water flows. A developmental activity for the use of water comprises studying the availability of and demand for water and contemplating project that can meet the expected needs from available supplies by means of engineering works and scientific work. The tamalous basin, on the middle course of Guebli River), is the largest of the basins internal elements of the Kabyle base. Forming a triangle of around ten kilometers on each side, it is closed to the north by Djebel Guern Aicha which culminates at 561m and whic

Impact of marine intrusion on the salinity of the alluvial plain Telezza water table, Collo (North East Algeria)

The water table of the alluvial plain of Telezza - Collo (province of Skikda) is part of the sub-catchment area of Oued Guebli and Oued Cherka, it shows an elongated quadrilateral shape with a length of 10 km and a width of 5 km along the Mediterranean Sea, with an area of about 20 km2. This water table circulates in the clayey-marl formations of the Miocene and the plio-quaternary grounds of alluvial nature. This region is part of the coastal areas of North East Algeria, with agricultural vocation, hence the need for irrigation in the face of the hazards of climate change, especially in the s

PRELIMINARY DATA ON ZOOPLANKTON FROM THE CHLEF SHALLOW FRESHWATER PONDS, WESTERN ALGERIA

This work is a contribution to the study of the zooplanktons of the aquatic ecosystems of the Chlef region. This is the first inventory since the last research of Ghauthier 1928. The inventory was based on samples collected from 12 freshwater bodies (reservoirs, ponds, ditches, oueds and dams) during the wet period of 2021. The sites contain a diverse zooplanktons fauna, among which are 3 taxonomic groups: ostracods, cladocerans, and copepods. A total of 15 taxa were identified. Cyclops viridis and Daphnia magna is the most common in the majority of the sampled sites. The Cladocera Corenattell

In vitro culture and plant regeneration of unfertilized male sterile ovules of tobacco

The great economic importance of sugar beet determines the ongoing biotechnological studies conducted worldwide to improve the technology of obtaining doubled haploids (DHs) using the method of unpollinated ovule culture in vitro. To improve the induction of gynogenesis, we tested the effect of thidiazuron (TDZ), temperature bud pretreatment, different concentrations of sucrose, and culturing on liquid or solid medium. Three genotypes were tested in this study. The use of TDZ at a concentration of 0.4 mg/L in solid IMB (induction medium for Beta vulgaris) induction nutrient medium with 3 g/

Realization path analysis to achieve complete tobacco production mechanization based on grounded theory

A complete mechanization process is thought to be inevitable for modern tobacco agriculture development. In order to accelerate the process of tobacco agriculture mechanization from the perspective of organizational management, this paper conducts a retrospective study on the exploration and practice of full-process mechanization in tobacco leaf production in Xuchang, Henan Province as a pilot project. The key points are summarized, and a theoretical model for full-process mechanization in tobacco production is constructed based on the grounded theory, which includes 4 main categories, 12 s
