Geological, petrographic and mineralogical characteristics of Boudoukha deposit (Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag) - (North East Algeria)

The North East Algeria is essentially composed of the metamorphic rocks, which are crosscutting, by Miocene massive granitic and microgranitic intrusions. In the region of Boudoukha, the crystalline basement is structurally controlled by multiple Alpine (Eocene-Miocene) faults (N-S, NE-SW), which facilitated the circulation of hydrothermal fluids. Chemical composition and herbicidal properties of essential oil of Eucalyptus globulus growing in Algeria

The present work involves research into the herbicidal activity of Eucalyptus globulus essential oil collected from souk ahras (north-east algeria), on the germination and growth of Sinapis arvensis and Triticum turgidum seeds. The oil was isolated by hydrodistillation in a Clevenger-type apparatus and analyzed by GC/MS. The yield of the essential oil was 2.6% and 38 constituents were identified. Ethnobotanical survey of plants traditionally used as mosquito repellents (Diptera; Nematocera), in Setif region (Algerian High Plains).s

In order to search for alternative natural products to limit the risk of chemical pesticides used to fight against mosquitoes, an ethnobotanical survey was carried out during three months between March and May (2023), on plants presumed to have insecticidal activities against mosquitoes, in Setif region (Algerian High Plains).
