Lavandula stoechas L. is an aromatic plant with widespread distribution, traditionally used in local medicine for its expectorant, antispasmodic, carminative, sedative, anti-inflammatory, and digestive properties. The aerial parts of the plant, harvested at the flowering stage, were extracted with 85% methanol for three days. The resulting suspension was filtered using a Buchner funnel and concentrated under reduced pressure with a rotary evaporator to yield a crude methanol extract (ME). This extract was then partitioned with hexane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate. Each solvent fraction was ev
The study examined the histology and biochemical composition of the gonads of male and female Mytilus galloprovincialis molluscs that were harvested in the winter of 2023 from three different locations in the Gulf of Annaba: Seraïdi, Chapuis, and Sidi Salem. The results obtained indicate that during the winter, the mussels at all three sites had high protein levels, with the Seraïdi site having the highest value. However, there was no discernible variation in their carbohydrate levels. There is no discernible change in the histology of the gonads between the sex or all three sites. Each of t
As part of the research and production of cellulases and endoglucanases enzymes in microorganisms, ten mesophilic actinomycetes strains were isolated from the Souk Ahras region. After the screening method, the most active strain (S331) was selected for optimization of production conditions. S331 strain grows well on ISP2 medium at 30°C and pH 7.2. This strain grows on different sources of plant-derived carbon and produces a wide range of enzymes. The actinomycete S331 strain was cultured on a CMS cellulose-based solid and liquid medium as the only carbon source. Screening of cellulolytic act
The Anthyllis barba jovis plant is a fabaceae belonging to the Algerian flora. Our work is based their valorization on a physico-chemical analysis of the leaves such as contents (water, dry matter and organic matter), this analytical procedure followed by some biochemical dosages (chlorophyll pigments, proteins, soluble sugars, and polyphenols). An anatomical study was also carried out on two types of samples (leaf and stem) of the plant to be studied The species was harvested at the Soug Rguibette station, in the El Kala National Park (North-East Algeria). Leaves showed a water content of aro
The providing food issue has become a sensitive and important matter that researchers take into consideration to secure it by investing the experts expertise in producing or devising new varieties that suit environmental conditions. The distinguishing science and describing varieties is one of the important descriptive sciences in studying different species and their related varieties, especially in the knowing field the their purity degree, as there are many ways to distinguish and describe varieties, grains and wheat varieties differ from each other in one or more characteristics, and these
