A system for recovering waste heat from cooling water of technological air conditioner in cigarette factory

The automotive industry seeks innovative solutions for energy-efficient and sustainable vehicles. Conventional air-conditioning systems consume significant energy and have environmental impacts. Adsorption technology offers a promising alternative with higher energy efficiency and reduced emissions. This review analyzes recent advancements in adsorption air-conditioning for automotive applications, including material selection and system integration. It discusses the benefits, challenges, environmental impact, and waste heat recovery potential of adsorption systems. This review explores eme

Current patent portfolio and industrialization status on multi-functional utilization of tobacco outside China

With the development of China’s national economy from the middle- and low-income stages to the middle- and high-income stages, the function of homesteads has undergone a significant evolution. Clarifying the evolution laws, characteristics, and dynamic mechanisms of various functions of homesteads can provide a basis for revitalizing the use of idle homesteads and promoting rural economic development. It can also provide theoretical guidance for implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy. This paper uses statistical data and household survey data to establish a theoretical analyti

Chemical compositions of tobacco strips from blending modules of different qualities separated by different pneumatic units

Tobacco smoke is a toxic and carcinogenic mixture of more than 5,000 chemicals. The present article provides a list of 98 hazardous smoke components, based on an extensive literature search for known smoke components and their human health inhalation risks. An electronic database of smoke components containing more than 2,200 entries was generated. Emission levels in mainstream smoke have been found for 542 of the components and a human inhalation risk value for 98 components. As components with potential carcinogenic, cardiovascular and respiratory effects have been included, the three maj

Effects of aging methods on microorganisms and aroma components of Zimbabwe tobacco leaves

In order to investigate the effects of aging methods on microorganisms and aroma components in tobacco leaves, the differences in microbial diversity and aroma components of Zimbabwe tobacco leaves aged for different durations (3, 9, 12, 15 and 18 months) in different aging warehouses (moisturizing warehouse, mechanical warehouse and natural warehouse) were analyzed by MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technology and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The results showed that: 1) The species composition similarity was higher among the leaves aged for 3, 9, and 12 months in the same aging w

Release performance of main components in reconstituted tobacco sheets by different processing techniques for electrically heated tobacco products

The pyrolysis of waste electronically heated tobacco (EHT), consisting of tobacco leaves (TL), a poly-lactic acid (PLA) filter, and a cellulose acetate (CA) filter, was investigated using thermogravimetric (TG) and pyrolyzer–gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) analysis. The pyrolytic properties of waste EHT obtained after smoking were comparable to those of fresh EHT. Although the maximum decomposition temperatures (TmaxS) of waste TL and CA were similar to those of fresh EHT components, the Tmax of waste PLA was slightly higher than that of fresh PLA due to smoldering. Th

Application of Image J colorimetric method in bleached cut tobacco cellulose analysis

The available tooth whitening products in the market contain high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as an active ingredient. Therefore, in order to curb the high H2O2 concentration and instability of liquid H2O2, this study evaluated the efficacy and cytotoxicity of the bleaching gel composed of 10% calcium peroxide (CaO2) and visible-light-activating nitrogen-doped titanium dioxide (N-TiO2) with methyl cellulose as a thickener. Extracted bovine teeth were discolored using coffee and black tea stain solution and were divided into two groups (n = 6). Bleaching was performed thrice o

Diagnostic identification of a new leaf spot disease on tobacco from Chongqing tobacco-planting area

Tobacco brown spot caused by Alternaria alternata is a devastating fungal disease endangering plant production. To effectively control brown spot disease, an antagonistic Actinomyces strain, Streptomyces hygroscopicus JY-22, was isolated from rhizospheric soil, which remarkably restrains the growth of phytopathogenic fungus Alternaria alternata. This antagonistic strain and its culture filtrate showed significant antifungal activity against Alternaria alternata. Firstly, the confrontation culture method of strains JY-22 and Alternaria alternata showed that Streptomyces hygroscopicus JY-22 h

Differences in mass fractions and compositions of volatile components in domestic cigars

In order to investigate the differences in mass fractions and compositions of volatile components in domestic cigars, headspace-solid phase microextraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) were used to determine the volatile components in 12 cigar samples of different specifications produced by four Chinese manufacturers, and the obtained data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA (analysis of variance) and cluster analysis. The results showed that: 1) A total of 42 volatile components were detected in the 12 samples, including 9 alcohols, 4 aldehydes, 2 esters, 5 acids, 11

THE INFLUENCE OF POLLUTION ON THE ASSEMBLAGE STRUCTURE OF POSIDONIA OCEANICA MACROEPIPHYTES IN THE GULF OF ANNABA.

The ecosystems of the Gulf of Annaba are under heavy anthropogenic pressure. The posidonia oceanica plant is considered one of the most important oxygen-producing ecosystems in the Mediterranean. In order to gain an overview of the north-eastern Algerian coast, monthly monitoring of physico-chemical parameters and a study of the seasonal variation of P. oceanica were carried out in the Gulf of Annaba at six stations at different depths (Cap de garde (S1), Ain Achir (S2), La caroube (S3), Lever de l'aurore (S4), Draouche (S5), and Cap rosa (S6)), during the year 2021. Physico-chemical parameter

Note on the biological rise following the setting in defense: Case of Magroune (Commune of Ain Ben Khelil, Wilaya of Naâma)

The fight against desertification and the protection of steppe ecosystems have become priorities in Algeria through several management and restoration methods. The setting in defense is a technique that promotes natural regeneration, the most appropriate to induce the natural biological recovery of steppe species. Our study is based on a comparison of the vegetation of the zones of setting in defense in the commune of Ain Ben Khelil, Wilaya of Naâma in contrast with the bordering stations located outside the setting in defense. This area is characterized by an arid climate that favors the ins
