In order to quantitatively evaluate the ash integrity of a burning cigarette during smoking, a visual evaluation method was established. The pictures of 250 ash columns of burning cigarettes were panel tested with the established method to obtain the score of cigarette ash integrity. The correlations of cigarette ash integrity score with the tested indexes, including grey value, ash crack rate, ash shrink rate, burn line width, burn line uniformity, etc., were studied on the basis of the statistical analysis method of a feature engineering approach. The results showed that: 1) Grey value, ash crack rate, and ash shrink rate significantly affected cigarette ash integrity, while the influences of burn line width, burn line uniformity, and combustion rate were insignificant. 2) Dominance analysis indicated that the contribution weights of ash crack rate, grey value, and ash shrink rate to cigarette ash integrity were 0.729, 0.241, and 0.030, respectively. 3) The regression equation with ash crack rate, grey value, and ash shrink rate as the independent variables could evaluate the ash integrity of a burning cigarette satisfactorily, and the coefficient of determination of the equation was 0.725.
