Abstract : COVID-19 pandemic which has hit the world for more than two and half years now continues to be the focus of many research teams around the world given the real danger and threat experienced by the humanity. Climate is possibly a very important factor in the transmission of many respiratory diseases. This led us to conduct this study in which we explored the influence of different climatic factors; namely temperature (average, maximum, minimum), air pressure, humidity, total rain and/or snowmelt as well as the visibility on the spread of COVID 19 cases (hospitalization cases) in the state of Annaba from July 21, 2021 until February 15, 2022. The results of this study show that the average and maximum temperatures have a significant effect on the evolution of COVID-19 cases and that air pressure at sea level has a very significant influence on this spread. This work also shows that the minimum temperature, humidity, total rain and/or snowmelt and visibility do not affect the evolution of COVID 19 hospitalization cases.
