Abstract : The risk of spread posed by an invasive plant Ailanthus altissima in the Souk Ahras region has never been the subject of research. Indeed, we conducted the first study in the wilaya of Souk Ahras on this invasive plant, with the aim of preserving the flora and fauna biodiversity in the study region against the threats of A. altissima, by adopting a cartographic approach in order to know the places of its propagation, its dynamics and its spatial occupation. Our inventory includes Eight hundred and forty-nine (849) trees of A. altissima in the souk ahras region, urban and semi-urban ecosystems bring together the highest number of this species and forest ecosystems bring together the lowest numbers. The thematic analysis map shows that this taxon is widespread in abundance near built-up areas, along roadsides and along railway lines. The application of PCA allowed us to determine the variables that best explain the abundance and/or occurrence of this taxon.
