Effect of soaking duration and planting depth on the wheat cultivar (Mawaddah) was studied based on some growth and yield indicators. A field experiment was conducted in the fields of the College of Agriculture for autumn agricultural season 2022 in loam soil. The experiments were conducted in a factorial experiment according to a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replicates. It was clear from the results that the planting depth of 10 cm was significantly better than the planting depth of 12 cm in all measures studied. The study included germination rate, germination speed, chlorophyll percentage, plant height, PVI, germination vigor index, and grain yield. The results obtained were 86%, 80%, 33.67%, 69.94 cm, 67.40 cm and 4.402 tons.ha-1 respectively, and the best physical traits of the soil, while the highest results were recorded for the soaking period of 6 hours.day-1 in all traits of the study compared to the soaking durations of 10. 14, 18 hours.day-1, which recorded undesirable results, and the results were 92%, 82%, 36.72%, 71.77 cm, 68.90 cm, and 5.194 tons.ha-1. The best interaction obtained was the result of overlapping the planting depth of 10 cm and the soaking duration with cytokeratin solution 6 hours.day-1 in all traits of the study.
